Breakfast Bagel Casserole

OZO™ Plant-Based Ground 1 Package
Unsalted butter 2 Tablespoons
Green bell pepper, diced 1 Pepper
Yellow onion, diced 1 Onion
Day-old bagels, cut into 1″ pieces (1) 18 oz. Package
Large eggs 8 Eggs
Whole milk 2 Cups
Half & half 1 Cup
Shredded cheddar cheese 2 Cups
Kosher salt 1 Teaspoon
Garlic powder ½ Teaspoon
Black pepper, freshly ground ½ Teaspoon
Cream cheese, cut into 1″ cubes 6 oz.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Coat a 9×13 inch baking pan or 3 qt. casserole dish with cooking spray and set aside.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the OZO Plant-Based Ground and cook until browned and crispy, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 4
Add the peppers and onions to the pan and cook until onions are translucent and pepper has softened, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Layer the bagel pieces in the base of the prepared dish.
Step 6
In a large mixing bowl add the eggs, milk, half & half, cheese, salt, garlic powder, and pepper, and whisk to combine. Stir in the cooled ground and pepper mixture.
Step 7
Pour the mixture evenly over the bagels.
Step 8
Top evenly with cubes of cream cheese.
Step 9
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 10
Remove foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until center is set and edges are golden brown.
Step 11
Remove from oven and allow to cool 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving!
